Cooper is a South Bay native with a strong background in competitive volleyball in the Bay Area. He began his volleyball journey by playing for Bay to Bay and starting for Valley Christian High School in San Jose, showcasing his talent and commitment to the sport.

His academic pursuits led him to the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign, where he majored in electrical engineering. During his time in college, he continued to play volleyball, this time for the club team at the University of Illinois. His team had significant success, finishing in 2nd place in the national championships at the end of the season, earning a silver medal.

Upon returning to the Bay Area, Cooper transitioned into coaching high school volleyball. His experience as a player allowed him to develop extensive knowledge of the game and the ability to coach all positions effectively.

In the previous season, Coach Cooper served as the co-head coach of the 14-1s team, leading them to a successful season and setting them up for a promising high school season. He's enthusiastic about returning to the coaching staff, working alongside his coaching partner, Andrew, to continue contributing to the success of the team.
