MJ Pakola

MJ Pakola, a Bay Area native hailing from Newark, California, has a deep-rooted passion for volleyball. She has dedicated half of her life to the sport and is enthusiastic about sharing her knowledge and love for volleyball with others.

During her high school years, MJ attended St. Francis High School in Mountain View, a well-known volleyball powerhouse. She was part of the school's volleyball team, which likely provided her with valuable experiences and skills. Additionally, she honed her volleyball expertise by participating in club volleyball at Academy and Encore in Redwood City. These experiences allowed her to learn from various experienced coaches and further develop her understanding of the game.

MJ's versatility in the sport is evident as she has experience playing as a middle, outside, and opposite hitter. This well-rounded experience makes her an asset to Breakwater, where she can work with the hitters and help them expand their skills and game.

In the past, MJ served as a coach at Encore Volleyball Club in Redwood City for a year. However, she has now chosen to bring her coaching expertise to the Coastside. Alongside her coaching endeavors, MJ is a student-athlete at the College of San Mateo, participating in both indoor and beach volleyball teams. She is majoring in business, with aspirations of becoming a real estate agent. She also manages her own at-home baking business and works at Sephora, showcasing her entrepreneurial spirit and diverse skillset.
