Nancy Blanchard

 
 

Nancy Blanchard, a Pacifica-native, has had a deep-rooted connection to volleyball, with her journey in the sport starting in middle school, influenced by her family's love for the game.

In high school, she played at Terra Nova High School as a middle blocker, showcasing her skills and dedication to the sport. This passion continued through her college years, where she continued to play recreation volleyball at San Francisco State University. She majored in History and minored in Art History, setting the stage for her future career.

In the upcoming spring, Nancy plans to enter a teaching credential program to fulfill her passion for teaching high school students, combining her love for education with her love for volleyball.

Nancy's coaching career commenced in 2019 at Terra Nova High School. She currently holds the role of head coach for the Freshman and Junior Varsity programs, while also assisting with the Varsity team. Her coaching journey is fueled by a strong passion for the sport and a desire to continually improve her knowledge and connections with her athletes. For the upcoming season, she will be serving as an assistant coach, indicating her commitment to learning and growing in her coaching role.

Beyond her involvement in volleyball and education, Nancy cherishes spending time with her friends and family, particularly in outdoor settings, with the mountains being her preferred destination. She enjoys reading and exploring new places with friends, demonstrating her love for adventure and literature. Nancy's passion for food and culinary exploration makes her a self-proclaimed foodie, always on the lookout for new restaurants to savor and enjoy.
