18 & Unders

We will be offering a competitive team for High School athletes to compete in the 18 & under age group. This team will practice on Tuesdays & Thursdays in San Mateo. They will compete in four multi-day tournaments, including a trip to Las Vegas during President's Day weekend.

Sophomores down to 7th Graders

Breakwater is officially popular here on the Coast! We have so many kids interested in playing that tryouts will be necessary this season.

The exact make up of teams will depend on who attends tryouts, and who makes the cut. In previous seasons, 7th & 8th graders in the 14 & Under Division, and high school freshmen and sophomores in the 16 & Under Division.

Tryouts will be in Mid/Late November. If you are interested, please contact us ASAP.

Our official season will run from December to May 2019. Teams will all practice at least twice a week for 2 hours a day and participate in one or two tournaments each month starting in January.

12 & Unders (6th Graders)

We will have a team for the 12 & Under age group that will practice twice a week for 2 hours a day and participate in the Premier League tournaments on the following dates: 1/26, 3/9, 3/16, 3/30, 4/28, as well as a Regional Championship on 5/11-5/12. This team will also have the opportunity to travel to Reno on 4/13-4/15 for a 3 day tournament. We may even get to compete in one other multi-day tournament in February or March. Players will receive a uniform, backpack, and several pieces of team apparel as well. Traditionally, the cost to participate on this team has been approximately $800. We aim to keep it that way!

The D-League (3rd-5th grade)

Developmental League - The D-League will be for our younger Coastside athletes (3rd-5th grade, with possible exceptions) interested in learning and loving the sport of volleyball.

Every year, our program is growing and becoming more competitive. If you are interested in any of these opportunities, please get in touch with Ryan Havice ASAP - Ryan@breakwatervolleyball.com
