Tino Stemberga

Tino Stemberga, San Francisco native, grew up watching his older sister’s volleyball games. She inspired his love for the game because he wanted to be able to compete with his sister in every aspect. Tino began playing volleyball in high school and started for 4 years on the Capuchino High School volleyball team as a 6-rotation outside hitter. He also played basketball while at Capuchino, a dual-sport athlete. After graduating, Tino continued to play basketball at Foothill Community College, working towards an Associate’s Degree in Business. After graduation, Tino plans to transfer to a 4-year university to continue playing collegiate basketball.

Although basketball became his main sport, Tino’s love for volleyball never died. He continued his passion through his love for coaching. Tino coached middle school girls volleyball at Parkside Intermediate School and helped his sister, Sofia, with her club teams. He is excited to be a part of Breakwater and bring his coaching expertise, as well as learn more about the art of coaching.

In his free time, Tino enjoys running, watching movies, and studying.
